Efforts towards a Ukrainian settlement continue, but Moscow is getting very mixed signals from Ukrainian representatives, the Kremlin official noted. When asked whether nuclear-related issues would be discussed at the new round of negotiations on Ukraine, the spokemsman underscored that this matter cannot be ignored. That said, trying to ascertain the current phase of negotiations on Ukraine—or making any predictions about them—would be a serious error, Peskov cautioned.

Russia-Ukraine Summit Must Wrap Up Remaining Negotiation Work: Kremlin
A summit between Russia and Ukraine should put the finishing touches on their efforts, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Thursday.
"Listen, if we are talking about a summit, it must finalize the results of the work. It must put the finishing touches on all the work and bring it to a definitive conclusion," Peskov told reporters, adding that Russia's position on Ukraine remains consistent and unchanged.
"Everyone is continuing their work, including the American negotiators - the US side - to whom we are very grateful for these sustained efforts," Peskov noted.
That said, trying to ascertain the current phase of negotiations on Ukraine—or making any predictions about them—would be a serious error, Peskov cautioned.
