"Over the course of the past night, air defense alert systems intercepted and destroyed 72 Ukrainian fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles: 20 UAVs over the Astrakhan Region, 20 UAVs over the Republic of Crimea, 14 UAVs over the Rostov Region, eight UAVs over the Belgorod Region, four UAVs over the Krasnodar Territory, three UAVs over the Kursk Region, two UAVs over the Volgograd Region, and one UAV over the Sea of Azov," the statement says.

Russian air defense forces destroyed 72 drones overnight over Russian regions, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
