Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will hold talks with Indian External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar in New Delhi on Wednesday to discuss trade, financial and energy issues.
The meeting is expected to cover a wide range of bilateral issues, including efforts to boost trade and establish stable supply and financial channels protected from external pressure. Both diplomats will look for common ground in energy, science and space co-operation.
Regarding global developments, the foreign ministers will exchange views on the situation in the Middle East. Russia-Indian co-operation within BRICS, the G20 and the United Nations will also be high on the agenda.
