MOSCOW (Sputnik) - Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is pursuing an unfriendly policy towards Moscow, cynically using Russia's capabilities, Russian State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin said on Friday.
"Politically, all decisions by Pashinyan have already been made. I want to emphasize that it is in favor of building relations with countries that are unfriendly to Russia, which are fighting with us, trying to destroy Russia, and counteract our development," Volodin wrote on the Max platform.
Pashinyan's desire to remain in the EAEU is an attempt to continue using the Eurasian space for financial purposes, the speaker said, noting that Russia's attitude towards Armenia residents is friendly, but Russia cannot hush up processes that are taking place in Armenia.
"We supply gas to Armenia almost 4 times cheaper, to our detriment [the price for Armenia is $177.5/1,000 cubic meters, in Europe — $633/1,000 cubic meters). In this difficult time, we support the Armenian economy and its citizens. What we get in return is Pashinyan's meanness and dishonesty. It cannot go on like this. This is not the way to build relationships," Volodin added.
