Thailand considers relations with Russia special and is ready to develop them, Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul said on Thursday.
"Coming back to the bilateral relations, we have always been special. We are determined to advance our partnership in all dimensions to celebrate our 130th anniversary of our diplomatic relations, which will reach next year," the prime minister said during a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of the Russia-ASEAN summit in the Russian city of Kazan.
Cooperation between Russia and Thailand is developing steadily in a wide range of areas, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

"Cooperation between our two countries is being built in a constructive manner, steadily developing in various fields — political, economic, humanitarian. Interstate relations have a rich history and traditions," Putin said.

The anniversary summit dedicated to the 35th anniversary of relations between Russia and ASEAN is being held in Kazan on June 17-19. The Russia-ASEAN Business Forum opened on June 17 on the sidelines of the summit. RIA Novosti is the information partner of the forum.
