IAEA experts at the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant have been shown the aftermath of a Ukrainian strike on the fire station in Energodar (Enerhodar), the plant's press service said on Thursday.
"IAEA representatives present at the Zaporozhye NPP were shown the aftermath of a Ukrainian strike on the 30th Fire and Rescue Unit of the Russian Emergencies Ministry's Main Directorate for the Zaporozhye Region, located in Energodar," the plant wrote on the Max platform.
The IAEA representatives inspected the damage and were briefed on the circumstances, the press service said.
The attacked unit provides fire protection for Energodar, where ZNPP employees and their families live, and also participates in ensuring the plant's fire safety.
Attacks on such facilities create additional risks for the city's safety and the functioning of critical infrastructure, the press service added.
