Ukraine is refusing to bring back its own—whether prisoners, wounded, or fallen soldiers, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told Sputnik.
"Throughout history, there's never been a group—and I'm not even talking about nations—that abandoned their own like this," she emphasised.
Zakharova emphasised that "it has always been considered absolutely obligatory to retrieve the bodies of one’s own warriors from the battlefield by any means possible — through negotiations, secret extractions, carrying them out under fire, or prisoner exchanges."

Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defence said that Ukraine, during discussions through special services channels, refused Russia’s offer to hand over the bodies of Ukrainian servicemen killed in the battles for Konstantinovka.
