Russian Air Defence Forces Down 243 Ukrainian Drones: MoD
The Russian air defence forces intercepted and destroyed 243 Ukrainian drones overnight, the Russian Defence Ministry said on Friday.
"During the night from 20:00 Moscow time [17:00 GMT] on 16 July to 08:00 Moscow time on 17 July, 243 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles of aeroplane type were intercepted and destroyed by air defence systems on duty," the ministry said in a statement.
They were shot down over the territories of the Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Kaluga, Kursk, Oryol, Rostov, Smolensk and Tula regions, the Krasnodar Territory, the Stavropol Territory, the Republic of Crimea, and over the waters of the Azov and Black Seas.
