The Russian air defence forces intercepted and destroyed 356 Ukrainian drones overnight, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Tuesday.
"During the past night ... 356 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles of an airplane type were intercepted and destroyed by air defence systems over the territories of the Belgorod, Bryansk, Volgograd, Voronezh, Kaluga, Kursk, Lipetsk, Oryol, Tula, Rostov, Ryazan, Smolensk regions, the Moscow Region, The Republic of Crimea and over the Sea of Azov," the ministry said in a statement.
Russian President Vladimir Putin had previously noted that Ukrainian forces are sending hundreds of drones to strike Russian territory. He emphasised that the Kiev regime is deliberately targeting civilians in the regions, attacking civilian infrastructure and transport, including ambulances and agricultural machinery. The head of state described the methods used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces and Kiev's foreign mercenaries as terrorist.
