The two senior defence officials reviewed the growing defence partnership between India and Vietnam, the Indian Embassy in Vietnam said in a statement released on Wednesday.Special emphasis was placed on strengthening coordination between the two countries' air forces, capacity building, and professional exchanges. The two sides also shared views on regional and global security issues of mutual interest, the embassy said in the statement.During the meeting, India and Vietnam reaffirmed their shared commitment to further deepening defence cooperation under the Enhanced Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, the statement said.Notably, an official statement recently confirmed that India and Vietnam have finalised and signed a deal for the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile.
