The IAF's Mi-35 fleet has undergone overhaul and maintenance in Russia in recent years, extending its operational service life for the years ahead.

In an exercise called Rotor Clap-3, along with the Mi-35, the Mi-17 1V, an armed version of the Air Force's other proven medium-weight helicopter, Mi-17, also participated in the exercise.
