The latest figures were highlighted during a meeting of the India-Namibia Joint Trade Committee (JTC) in New Delhi, where both sides agreed to strengthen economic cooperation and explore opportunities for expanding bilateral trade.In 2025-26, India's exports to Namibia stood at $349.09 million, while imports from the African country were valued at $243.85 million.India's engineering exports to Namibia recorded particularly strong growth, rising by 124.06% to $30.24 million. Motor vehicles and automobile components accounted for a significant share of these exports.Exports of pharmaceuticals and medical equipment from India to Namibia, meanwhile, reached $36.50 million. With a 16.4% share of Namibia's pharmaceutical imports, India emerged as the country's second-largest supplier of pharmaceutical products.The Indian delegation at the JTC meeting was led by Amit Kumar, Joint Secretary in the Department of Commerce, while the Namibian side was headed by Ndapandula Nghipondoka-Kar, Executive Director in Namibia's Ministry of International Relations and Trade.The meeting underscored the growing economic engagement between India and Namibia and the interest on both sides in expanding cooperation across trade, engineering goods, pharmaceuticals and other sectors.
