India Signals Readiness for Ship Repair Cooperation With Russia's Arkhangelsk Region: Ministry

India is ready to cooperate with the Russia's Arkhangelsk Region in ship repair and shipbuilding, stated Venkatesapati Shivaperumal, Secretary of the Ministry of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways, Government of India.
"We are pleased to cooperate with the region (Arkhangelsk Region – ed.) in shipbuilding and ship repair… For India, this creates potential for technological and industrial cooperation with Russia," he said during the plenary session of the 4th Arctic Regions Forum.
He noted that India believes that cooperation between the countries will only intensify.

"I see great potential for development with the Arkhangelsk Region and great potential for cooperation between organizations and institutions," the Secretary of the Ministry of Ports emphasized.
