The volume of mutual trade between Russia and India increased by 8% in the first half of 2026, First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov said on Monday.
"Thanks to well-coordinated work, we are able to consistently increase the bilateral trade turnover. According to the results of the first half of the year, the volume of mutual trade increased by 8%," Manturov said during a plenary session of the intergovernmental Russian-Indian commission on trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation.
Positive dynamics were recorded both for Russian exports and imports from India, the official added.

Russia puts a premium on cooperation with India both in the supply of oil, petroleum products and coal, as well as in projects for extraction of hydrocarbons, Manturov highlighted.
"We put a premium on cooperation in the field of energy security. This applies not only to the supply of oil, petroleum products, and coal, but also to joint investment projects for the extraction and processing of hydrocarbons," he stressed.
Russia and India also have opportunities to create new small nuclear power plants, and localize nuclear fuel production, the official added.
