Russian Satellite Launched From Plesetsk Successfully Reaches Orbit: MoD
The satellite, launched on Monday from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome aboard a Soyuz‑2.1b rocket, has been placed into orbit, the Russian Defence Ministry said.
The rocket carrying the spacecraft, which was launched in the interests of the Russian Defence Ministry, took off at 5:40 a.m. Moscow time (02:40 GMT) on August 24.
"At the calculated time, the spacecraft was placed into the target orbit and taken under control by the ground-based facilities of the aerospace forces of the Russian aerospace forces," the ministry said.
