The state of La Guaira and the capital city Caracas suffered the most. Venezuela declared a state of emergency and launched a large-scale recovery program.

The death toll from the June earthquakes in Venezuela has reached 6,509, according to a new report released by Venezuelan National Assembly President Jorge Rodriguez.
