The BRICS Summit will take pace at Delhi's Bharat Mandapam on 12 and 13 September, India's Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) announced in a release on Thursday.MEA also underscored that the Indian BRICS Presidency has been guided by the theme “Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability”, which reflects Prime Minister Modi's vision of a people-centric approach rooted in 'Humanity First'.As part of its BRICS presidency which would culminate at the Summit, India has held over 350 meetings and high-level engagements in over 25 cities to further strengthen the BRICS strategic partnership across three fundamental pillars - political and security, economic and financial, and cultural and people-to-people exchanges.India, a founding member of BRICS, has previously held the grouping's presidency in 2012, 2016 and 2021. MEA said that 2026 marked a "significant milestone" for the grouping as it was commemorating its 20th anniversary since establishment.

The 18th BRICS Summit will bring together leaders of BRICS nations, partner countries as well as outreach invitees. Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping are expected to be in attendance among others at the Delhi Summit.
The BRICS Summit will take pace at Delhi's Bharat Mandapam on 12 and 13 September, India's Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) announced in a release on Thursday.
The Summit will provide an opportunbity for leaders to exchaznge views on strengthening intra-BRICS cooperation on common priorities and share perspectives on global and regional matters of mutual importance, MEA said.
MEA also underscored that the Indian BRICS Presidency has been guided by the theme “Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability”, which reflects Prime Minister Modi's vision of a people-centric approach rooted in 'Humanity First'.
As part of its BRICS presidency which would culminate at the Summit, India has held over 350 meetings and high-level engagements in over 25 cities to further strengthen the BRICS strategic partnership across three fundamental pillars - political and security, economic and financial, and cultural and people-to-people exchanges.
"Through these engagements, and business-to-business and people-to-people initiatives, India's BRICS Chairship has contributed to advancing BRICS cooperation through practical and development-oriented outcomes," MEA said.
