Russian Air Forces Down 804 Drones, 5 HIMARS Missiles in 24 Hours: MoD
Russian air defence forces destroyed 804 drones and five HIMARS missiles of the Ukrainian armed forces over the past 24 hours, the Russian Defence Ministry said on Sunday.
"Air defence systems shot down 14 guided aerial bombs, five projectiles from US-made HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems, and 804 aircraft type unmanned aerial vehicles," the ministry said in a statement.
The ministry also said that it will launch strikes on Ukraine's energy facilities in retaliation to attacks on Russian fuel and energy infrastructure.
The Russian armed forces also struck a site used to prepare and launch Ukraine's long-range Flamingo cruise missiles.
"Operational-tactical aircraft, attack drones, missile forces and artillery of the Russian armed forces' battlegroups struck a site used to prepare and launch long-range Flamingo cruise missiles, Ukrainian fuel and energy infrastructure facilities, an ammunition production workshop and logistics centers used by the Ukrainian armed forces," the ministry underscored.
The ministry added that Russian forces also hit assembly and storage sites for unmanned aerial vehicles and their components, along with temporary deployment points of Ukrainian armed formations and foreign mercenaries in 143 areas.
