Russian Air Defence Forces Shoot Down 258 Ukrainian Drones Overnight: MoD
Russian air defence forces intercepted and destroyed 258 Ukrainian drones over Russia overnight, the Russian Ministry of Defence said on Sunday.
"Over the past night… air defence forces on duty intercepted and destroyed 258 Ukrainian aircraft‑type unmanned aerial vehicles over territories [of several Russian Regions]… and over the waters of the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea," the ministry said in a statement.
Russian President Vladimir Putin had previously noted that Ukrainian forces are sending hundreds of drones to strike Russian territory.
