Russia Delivers Weapons to 20+ Countries in Six Months, New Export Deals Top $13 Billion
Russia's state defense export company Rosoboronexport delivered Russian weapons and military equipment to more than 20 partner countries in the first half of 2026. The company's Director General, Alexander Mikheev, shared this information ahead of the El Alamein International Air Show 2026 in Egypt.
These deliveries went to countries across the Middle East, Africa, the Asia-Pacific region, Southeast Asia, Latin America, Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). During this period, the company also signed export contracts worth more than $13 billion, matching the entire figure for 2025.
"Roughly 70 percent of the total military supplies delivered to foreign customers consisted of air force and air defense weapons and equipment," Mikheev said.
He clarified that supplying weapons to foreign customers had not affected Russian industrial enterprises' ability to fulfill state defense orders.
According to Mikheev, more than 90 percent of the weapons contracted by the company in 2026 have already been tested in combat conditions during the special military operation in Ukraine.
"These weapons have taken part in combat operations against modern weapons and military equipment from Western manufacturers. Their performance under real conditions significantly influenced customers' final decisions to sign contracts," he said.
Rosoboronexport's Director General also noted that the company's order book has now grown to well over $60 billion, up from roughly $50 billion in previous years.
