Hypothetical Russia-China and US Summit at APEC Must Be Well Prepared: Official
15:40 10.09.2026 (Updated: 16:40 10.09.2026) A hypothetical meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Chinese President Xi Jinping and US President Donald Trump should be well prepared, but it is too early to talk about holding it, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko said on Thursday.
"I think if such a meeting takes place, and such a hypothetical possibility exists, since the leaders of the three powers plan to attend the summit. Such a meeting can take place with sufficient preparation," Rudenko told reporters on the sidelines of the Russian-Chinese business forum.
He also added that Russia informed China about the results of the trip of US negotiators to Moscow.
"We have a constant dialogue with our Chinese colleagues on all the most important issues of interest. Therefore, I think such information was brought to them," Rudenko told reporters on the sidelines of the Russian-Chinese business forum.
