Russia’s United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), part of state corporation Rostec, has signed deals with Indian airlines covering 85 Il-114-300 regional aircraft, announced at the INNOPROM. India exhibition.
The planned fleet includes 50 aircraft for Pinnacle Air and 35 for Sleek Aviation, with the latter deal also covering a training centre equipped with a full-flight simulator, according to Rostec.
Russia plans to finalise firm contracts by the end of 2026, while the two sides are also considering localising production and maintenance of the aircraft in India.
The Il-114-300 is a Russian-built turboprop designed to operate from smaller regional airports. Its proposed deployment could support India’s UDAN regional connectivity programme.
