The Russian Industry and Trade Ministry said that UAC had signed agreements of intent with Indian airlines for the supply of 85 Il-114-300 regional turboprop aircraft. A similar agreement for the supply of up to 20 aircraft for Indian carrier Air Kerala is in the pipeline. Oleg Bogomolov, UAC’s director of civil aviation programme management, said that an agreement on making Russia’s Superjet passenger aircraft in India would be signed by the end of the year.UAC will begin making and supplying aircraft to India as soon as the agreements are finalised, Badekha said, adding that the agreements of intent signed with Indian partners could be transformed into firm contracts in the near future.The first Innoprom. India international industrial exhibition to take place in the country is underway in New Delhi from September 9–11 ahead of the 18th BRICS summit. More than 120 companies from Russia and India are showcasing their products at the event.

Russia’s UAC Offers India Aircraft With After-Sales Support Package: CEO
16:01 10.09.2026 (Updated: 16:33 10.09.2026) Russia's United Aircraft Corporation (UAC, part of state corporation Rostec) has offered aircraft together with an after-sales service program to Indian partners, UAC head Vadim Badekha said on Thursday.
“Along with the aircraft, we are offering a comprehensive programme, including after-sales service and localisation of the aircraft here. We will likely sign a firm contract with our partner here in India, who will be responsible for producing these aircraft in India. It will likely be either a trilateral contract, or we will supply the aircraft to the partner, and the partner will sell them,” Badekha told reporters on the sidelines of the Innoprom. India forum.

“Our key task now is to determine the localisation programme, since it is required by the Indian side under the Made in India programme,” Badekha said.
