Speaking at an event marking the 25th anniversary of the Indian Council of World Affairs (ICWA), Jaishankar said it was not easy to adopt a single approach in such circumstances and that balancing different considerations had become an important subject of discussion.“Everything in the global economy is being weaponized. We are also seeing growing volatility in tariffs and increasing dumping in other markets. How can this best be countered?” Jaishankar said.He added that India must continuously adapt and reinvent itself in response to changing circumstances, given its expanding interests, broader global reach, growing number of partners and an increasingly complex international environment.“Often, the solutions lie in adapting strategies and responses,” the Indian foreign minister concluded.

Global Economy Witnessing 'Weaponisation of Everything': Jaishankar
Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar said on Tuesday that the world is currently facing two major conflicts — one in the Gulf region and another in Ukraine — and that India maintains good relations with all relevant parties in both cases.
Speaking at an event marking the 25th anniversary of the Indian Council of World Affairs (ICWA), Jaishankar said it was not easy to adopt a single approach in such circumstances and that balancing different considerations had become an important subject of discussion.
“Everything in the global economy is being weaponized. We are also seeing growing volatility in tariffs and increasing dumping in other markets. How can this best be countered?” Jaishankar said.
He added that India must continuously adapt and reinvent itself in response to changing circumstances, given its expanding interests, broader global reach, growing number of partners and an increasingly complex international environment.
“Often, the solutions lie in adapting strategies and responses,” the Indian foreign minister concluded.
