Russia Hits Ukraine's Defence Industry Enterprises, Ports Overnight: MoD
The Russian armed forces carried out drone strikes overnight against Ukraine's defence industry enterprises and ports, as well as against naval vessels used for the Ukrainian army, the Russian Defence Ministry said on Wednesday.
"Tonight, the Russian armed forces carried out strikes with unmanned aerial vehicles against defence industry enterprises and ports in Ukraine, as well as naval vessels involved in supporting the armed forces of Ukraine," the ministry said in a statement.
Additionally, the Russian armed forces struck the Kiev motor transport enterprise, which produces specialised vehicles for the Ukrainian armed forces, as well as hit a cargo ship carrying military cargo in the Ukrainian port of Chornomorsk, the statement read.
Meanwhile, Russian air defence systems destroyed 71 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles over Russian territory overnight, according to the MoD.
"Over the past night, air defence forces intercepted and destroyed 71 Ukrainian aircraft‑type unmanned aerial vehicles over the territories of the Bryansk, Kaluga, Oryol, Rostov, and Astrakhan regions, the Krasnodar Territory, the Republic of Crimea, and over the Black Sea," the ministry said in a statement.
