The Russian armed forces struck a Kiev workshop producing various types of UAVs, including the medium‑range RAX‑2X UAV, the Russian Defence Ministry said on Thursday.
Russian troops carried out overnight massive and coordinated strikes against enterprises in the metallurgical and radio‑electronic industries, the Ukrainian defense industry complex, as well as energy facilities that support the operation of port and transport infrastructure, and vessels used in the interests of the Ukrainian armed forces, the ministry said in a statement.
"As a result of the strike, the following were damaged: in the city of Kiev and the Kiev region, a workshop for the production and storage of unmanned aerial vehicles of various types, including the medium‑range RAX‑2X UAV," the statement read.
The Russian forces also struck an industrial facility in Kiev and the Kiev region that produces components for long- and medium-range UAVs, as well as a workshop for the production of drones, where long-range and medium-range UAVs were stored, in Kiev.
"As a result of the strike, the following facilities were damaged in the Kiev region: the Brovary energy storage battery park, which ensures the uninterrupted operation of military facilities in the Kiev region," the statement said, adding that Russia also hit the Zaporizhstal metallurgical plant in the Zaporozhye region.
Additionally, the Russian armed forces struck a dry cargo ship in the port of Chornomorsk in the Odessa region, as well as two road bridges across the Dniester River used to transport military cargo from Romania and the port of Izmail, the ministry said.
