A joint declaration and a new Russia-Africa Partnership Forum action plan for 2027–2029 are expected to be adopted.Media accreditation for the events is now open. Applications must be submitted by 30 September 2026 through the official website of the President of Russia.The previous Russia-Africa Summit was held in St Petersburg in July 2023. The first summit took place in Sochi in 2019.

17:14 18.09.2026 (Updated: 17:28 18.09.2026) Russia will host two major international summits in late October: the 8th Summit of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) and the 3rd Russia-Africa Summit, alongside the Russia-Africa Economic and Humanitarian Forum.
The GECF Summit will take place on 27 October, while the Russia-Africa Summit and Economic and Humanitarian Forum are scheduled for 28–29 October.
The GECF summit, bringing together the world's major gas-exporting countries, will focus on cooperation between member states and developments in the global gas market.
