Chinese Private Company CAS Space Launches 9 Satellites Into Orbit
Chinese private space company CAS Space has successfully launched nine satellites into space using a Kinetica-1 (Lijian-1) launch vehicle, the company said on Sunday.
The launch took place on Sunday at 12:03 p.m. (04:03 GMT) from the Dongfeng commercial space experimental zone in northwestern China.
"Under the 'one rocket - nine satellites' scheme, the rocket accurately delivered nine satellites into the designated orbit," CAS Space said.
The launched satellites are intended for space environment monitoring, disaster warning and relief, and scientific experiments, the company added.
CAS Space also said that market demand for Kinetica-1 launches remains high, with the launch schedule already filled through the second half of 2027.
In 2025, China's private space sector carried out 50 launches, accounting for 54% of the country's total space launches last year.
