Russian A7 Launches First Global Service Set to Transform International Payments Market
Russia’s international settlements system A7 has launched A7 International, the company announced on Tuesday.
The service allows businesses and individuals to pay foreign invoices in digital assets (initially USDT on the TRON network). The recipient then receives a conventional bank transfer via SWIFT.
"We are presenting not just another product, but a new face for A7. We have adapted the service so it can be used remotely from anywhere in the world. That is what the market is asking for today — the ability to move money worldwide in a few clicks, as quickly as possible, straight from a smartphone, without lengthy paperwork, hidden fees or funds being held up without reason. We have packaged that demand in a convenient and competitive form," said Pyotr Fradkov, chairman of PSB.
Responding to interest from overseas businesses, the company is expanding its positioning and offering the service internationally, A7 said. It is available only in jurisdictions where the use of cryptocurrency is permitted under local law.
The process is straightforward: the client sends USDT and A7 arranges a SWIFT bank transfer to the counterparty’s details on the invoice. The recipient does not need to accept cryptocurrency or open a crypto wallet — the money arrives in their bank account, A7 said.
To use the service, users register on a7.biz. Individuals complete KYC checks; companies complete KYB. They then upload the invoice and supporting documents. A built-in algorithm reads the invoice and helps complete the application, the company noted.
Tax on income from the service is paid to the Russian budget. At launch, A7 International accepts USDT on TRON. Bank transfers are available in US dollars, euros, Chinese yuan and UAE dirhams; other currencies can be arranged by prior agreement. The fee is 0.3% for both businesses and individuals. After the invoice is uploaded, the client sees the final cost, including the fee, in advance.
Payments are executed from one working day. Once completed, the client receives a SWIFT message or other confirmation. Supporting documents are also provided for currency and customs control.
A7 was set up in 2024 by PSB Bank to handle cross-border payments for Russian businesses. It now has more than 15,000 clients engaged in foreign trade, processes over 2,000 transactions a day, and says its payment infrastructure covers more than 100 countries.
