Russia Ramps up Non-Energy Exports, Including Via Global South Cooperation: Official
18:01 15.10.2026 (Updated: 18:02 15.10.2026) Russia is increasing non-energy exports, including through cooperation within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), BRICS and ties with Global South countries, Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk said on Thursday.
"Russia continues to diversify its economic ties and strengthen the non-resource foundations of growth. In 2025, non-resource non-energy exports increased by nearly 9.5%," Overchuk said in a written statement to the Joint Ministerial Committee of the Boards of Governors of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund.
These efforts are being supported by deeper economic ties within the EAEU, the SCO, BRICS, as well as interaction with partners in the Global South, he added.
A Russian delegation led by Overchuk is participating in the meetings of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund in Bangkok from October 12-18.
