Five civilians were injured in Ukrainian attacks on Russia's Belgorod region over the past day, with a man killed on Sunday, Governor Alexander Shuvayev said on Tuesday.
"Unfortunately, a man was killed during a Ukrainian attack on the Belgorod district on October 18. I express my sincere condolences to his family and loved ones," Shuvayev wrote on the Max platform.
Over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian armed forces attacked 12 districts of the Belgorod Region 102 times.
"Five people were injured in the Krasnoyaruzhsky and Shebekinsky districts. One of them is receiving inpatient treatment," he said.
The region was shelled 10 times with artillery and multiple rocket launchers, while drones dropped explosive devices twice. Air defense crews shot down or suppressed 84 drones, the governor added.
