India's Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) successfully flight-tested the indigenously developed Pralay missile off the coast of Odisha at 11:10 am on Thursday.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh announced the test in a post on social media platform X, stating that it had been conducted as part of the missile's User Evaluation Trials.
According to Singh, the test achieved all its designated objectives, as confirmed by data collected through various range instruments.

Boost for Indigenous Defence Capabilities

The defence minister described the successful trial as another important milestone in India's efforts to strengthen its indigenous defence capabilities.
The Pralay missile is part of India's domestic missile development programme. Its successful evaluation trial marks progress towards enhancing the country's ability to develop and test defence systems using indigenous technology.
