Bones recovered by police from a forest in Delhi are of Shraddha Walkar — the girl who was killed and cut into 35 pieces allegedly by her live-in partner in May, media reports said on Thursday.
According to the reports, a DNA test conducted on the bones matched the samples taken from Shraddha's father Vikas Walkar. Forensic reports were received by the Delhi Police from the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) and the Forensic Science Laboratory on Wednesday.
What Happened to Shraddha?
Shraddha Walker's live-in partner Aftab Ameen Poonawalla, who confessed to killing her, supposedly dumped her body parts at various locations in Delhi in May.
The man was arrested by Delhi Police in November. In the course of numerous interrogations, he told authorities that he murdered Walkar in a fit of rage.
So far, Delhi Police have recovered 13 body parts of Walkar and several weapons used in her murder.
