Doctors in India's Madhya Pradesh state's Indore city have successfully performed critical surgery on a woman and removed a 15 kg ovarian tumour from her body.
Because of the tumour, the woman was facing difficulty eating food and walking.
Dr Atul Vyas, a member of the surgical team at Index Hospital, told Indian media that the patient's condition was life-threatening as the tumour was about to burst.
He further explained that the surgery posed a significant challenge for the doctors due to the extensive coverage of the tumour across several nerves.
It took two hours for over a dozen doctors and support staff to remove the malignant growth from the woman's abdomen.
The doctor informed the media that the surgery turned out to be a success, and the patient is now completely out of danger.
