"On September 10, at about 08.30 [05:30 GMT], an attempt by the Kiev regime to carry out a terrorist attack by a fixed wing drone against objects on the territory of the Russian Federation was thwarted," the ministry said on Telegram, adding that "the unmanned aerial vehicle destroyed in mid-air."
Early on Sunday, Russian air defenses destroyed eight Ukrainian drones over the Black Sea near Crimea, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.
Ukraine has been sending drones into Russian territory almost daily since it launched a counteroffensive in early June.
