A special court in Pakistan extended judicial remand of former Prime Minister Imran Khan and former foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi in the cipher case till September 26.
Judge Abul Hasnat Zulqarnain, who has been hearing the cases related to the Official Secrets Act 1923, heard the proceedings inside the Attock Jail where the Khan is currently lodged.
Two-time foreign minister Qureshi was also produced in court after completing his 14-day judicial remand. The court also extended Qureshi's judicial remand till September 26.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman has been in jail since August 5 after a conviction in an alleged corruption matter, or the 'toshakhana case.'
Despite the Islamabad High Court (IHC) overturning the decision of a lower court in the Toshkana case, Khan remains incarcerated due to his arrest in the cipher case.
The former PM has said that all the charges against him are "politically-motivated."
