The Taliban has accused the US forces of repeatedly breaching Afghan airspace, expressing concern over the regular intrusion of American drones in Afghanistan. Sher Mohammad Abbas Stanekzai, the foreign minister of the hardliner Islamic regime, has condemned these actions as a blatant violation of international regulations.
"Yes, drones are patrolling Afghanistan's airspace, and we repeatedly shared this issue with them (the Americans) in the meetings, and they have violated this article," Stanekzai said.
"According to the Doha agreement, after the withdrawal of US forces, this country would have friendly relations with the new Islamic government of Afghanistan and would play an active role in the reconstruction of Afghanistan, and encourage other countries in this direction, and not to interfere in the internal affairs of Afghanistan," he elaborated.
However, this isn't the first time Afghanistan's Taliban rulers have blamed the US for violating its airspace.
Previously in March this year, Qari Fasihuddin Fitrat, the Chief of Staff of Afghan Defence Forces, slammed Washington over the matter.
"Even though it was a term in the agreement, it has been violated many times, and even though the US side has been informed, it is violated many times," Fitrat said at the time.

Afghanistan Does Not Have Resources to Stop Airspace Violation

According to military experts, the Taliban regime's inability to protect its airspace stems from a lack of resources to counter advanced drones operated by modern military forces from the West, Russia, India, and other nations.
"It is very difficult for the Taliban government to defend the airspace of Afghanistan because the planes and drones that fly in the airspace of Afghanistan are from some very advanced countries,” Asadullah Nadim, an Afghan military analyst said.
