The Ukrainian armed forces shelled the central market area in Shebekino in the Belgorod Region on Sunday morning, three people were injured, Belgorod Region Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said.
"On Sunday morning the Ukrainian armed forces shelled the area of the central market in Shebekino. According to preliminary information, there three people are injured, a woman has shrapnel wounds to the neck. She is being taken to Belgorod City Hospital No. 2 by an ambulance brigade. Two more men have shrapnel wounds to the legs. First medical aid was rendered to them by employees of the fire department. One of the injured men did not wait for the doctors and left, the second is now being taken to Belgorod City Hospital No. 2," Gladkov said on Telegram.
The facades of trading pavilions at the market, municipal garages and three cars were damaged, he said.
The head of the district and emergency services are working on the spot, Gladkov added.
