According to the National Centre of Seismology (NCS), the magnitude of the quakes in Nepal was recorded to be 4.6 and 6.2.
The first earthquake hit at 2.25 pm (IST), while the second one was at 2.51 pm.

Apart from Delhi, the tremors were felt in adjoining areas like Noida, Gurugram, etc. Lucknow, Hapur, and Amroha cities of Uttar Pradesh and parts of Uttarakhand also experience tremors.
After the quakes were felt, the Delhi police immediately took to social media urging people not to panic.
“Hey Delhi people! We hope you all are safe. Please come out of your buildings to a safe spot, but do not panic. DO NOT USE ELEVATORS! For any emergency help, dial 112,” the Delhi police wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter).
