In a landmark move, the Indian Army involved female military personnel from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in a military drill named Table Top Exercise (TTX) aimed at boosting the efficiency of women soldiers in "peacekeeping operations".

According to the Indian Army, the drill carried out from December 4-8 in New Delhi strove to strengthen "international cooperation and capacity-building in peacekeeping missions, with specific focus on empowering women in the field."

"The exercise served as a platform for participants to simulate and strategise responses to complex peacekeeping scenarios, reflecting real-world challenges. It also included exposure to complex operational peacekeeping environment and methods to ensure women peace and security," the Indian military said in a statement on Friday.

The South Asian sovereign state has served as a springboard for troops and officers of friendly countries as New Delhi has continuously made efforts to enhance their capabilities through various training programs and exercises.
Earlier this month, the Indian Navy completed a specialized program for the Mauritius Police Force, wherein their personnel were trained to carry out rescue missions in deep seas.
