Russia joined India in celebrating its 75th Republic Day on 26 January by organising various events and lighting up its streets and buildings with the Indian national flag.
To mark the occasion, some of Moscow's most iconic buildings were decorated with lights displaying the flags of India and Russia.
The Indian Embassy in Moscow posted a colourful picture of these buildings on X, showing the national flags of the two countries.

"The iconic buildings on Moscow's Novy Arbat street light up in the Indian and Russian tricolors to celebrate the 75th Republic Day of India," the Indian Embassy's message read on the social media platform.

The Russian Embassy in New Delhi also celebrated the occasion, which marks the adoption of the Indian Constitution, with traditional fervour. In fact, the embassy's social media handle shared an 89-second video featuring staff, children and professional dancers performing a famous song from the Hindi movie 'Gadar' - 'Mai Nikla Gaddi Leke' (I left my house with my vehicle).
