This night, Russian air defenses intercepted and destroyed seven Ukrainian drones over the Belgorod, Volgograd and Rostov regions, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

“This night, an attempt by the Kiev regime to carry out a terrorist attack using aircraft-type UAVs on targets on the territory of the Russian Federation was stopped. Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles were intercepted and destroyed by air defense systems on duty over the territories of the Belgorod (4 UAVs), Volgograd (2 UAVs) and Rostov (1 UAV) regions,” the ministry said.

Western countries have been providing Ukraine with military aid since the start of Russia's special military operation in February 2022. The support evolved from lighter artillery munitions and training to heavier weapons, including tanks and jets. The Kremlin has consistently warned against continued arms deliveries to Kiev, saying it would lead to further escalation of the conflict.
