In view of the increased rush of railway travelers during the upcoming Holi festivities, the Indian Railways have decided to introduce 540 additional services, an official statement said.
The planned services aim to connect major destinations across India on railway routes such as Delhi- Patna, Delhi- Bhagalpur, Delhi-Muzaffarpur, Delhi-Saharsa, Gorakhpur- Mumbai, Kolkata-Puri, Guwahati- Ranchi, Durg-Patna and Barauni-Surat among others.
With a focus on crowd management, the railway authorities are doing everything possible to prioritize the smooth flow of commuters at major stations.
Notably, this year witnesses an increase of 219 services compared to the previous festive season.
