Ukraine Lost Over 2,300 Soldiers in Donetsk Area Over Week

Ukrainian forces lost 2,360 troops on the Donetsk direction over the past week, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Saturday.

"Twelve counterattacks by assault groups of the 67th Mechanized and 80th Airbone assault brigades of the Ukrainian armed forces were repulsed in the areas of Bohdanivka and Krasnohorivka in the Donetsk People's Republic. The enemy lost more than 2,360 servicemen, five tanks, 16 armored combat vehicles, 61 vehicles, as well as 23 field artillery guns, 11 of which were foreign-made," the ministry said.
Additionally, Russian forces on the Donetsk direction took control of another settlement known as Krasne, the ministry said.
In the South Donetsk area, Ukraine lost over 860 troops, two Polish-made Krab artillery units, two UK-made FH70 howitzers in the past week in addition to four heavy and 35 light vehicles, the ministry said.
