Chernyshenko emphasised Russia’s focus on financial security and the importance of ongoing collaboration between member states. He stressed the need for united efforts and innovation to protect economies from emerging threats.
Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov sent greetings, underlining the Group’s role as a key regional mechanism for financial security.
Chair Yuri Chikhanchin expressed condolences for recent terrorist attacks in Kashmir and called for strengthened cooperation against transnational crime, corruption, and misuse of new technologies.
Highlighting shared risks and threats, Chikhanchin called for concerted efforts to address them.
The meeting will prioritise preparations for mutual evaluations, implementation of updated FATF Standards, and standardised training.
Delegates from 19 countries and over 20 international organisations are participating in the plenary.
