Iran Warns Qatar: US Bases Could Be Targets If Iran Faces Attack - Reports

MOSCOW, June 20 (Sputnik) - Iranian officials warned Qatar this week that US bases in the Persian Gulf could be targeted by Tehran in response to a suspected US attack, The Washington Post reported on Friday, citing European officials.

US embassies and diplomatic compounds in the region could also be targeted by Iran, the newspaper reported, adding that Iran-linked armed groups could pose a threat to US personnel and to US interests in the region.

On Thursday, the Tasnim news agency published an infographic showing a list of US military bases in the Middle East region that are within the range of Iranian missiles.
