On Monday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's adviser Dmitry Gendelman confirmed to Sputnik that Israel had received Hamas' response to the proposed ceasefire and hostage release deal.
An Egyptian source told Sputnik that the plan was delivered to both Hamas and Israel on August 17. It envisions a complete end to hostilities, the release of half of the Israeli hostages remaining in Hamas captivity in exchange for Palestinian prisoners, and humanitarian aid access to Gaza.
