“India is entering the market, and they will be buying Venezuelan oil, as opposed to buying it from Iran. We have already made that deal, the concept of the deal,” Trump told reporters.
On January 3, the United States launched a major operation targeting Venezuela, capturing President Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, and transporting them to New York.
Trump further stated that the US would oversee the sale of Venezuelan oil and its revenues, distributing the proceeds between the two countries.
