"We were able to identify the main elements of a possible deal, we discussed them. There are still some disagreements, but in most cases, there is at least a common understanding on how to resolve the issues," Araghchi told Press TV on Thursday.
He noted that the parties held intensive and detailed negotiations, during which progress was achieved. The diplomat also praised the role of Omani Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi and IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi, who facilitated the exchange of messages with the American side.
Grossi played a constructive role in the technical aspects of the discussions related to Iran's nuclear program, Araghchi said.
Iran and the US, mediated by Oman, held three rounds of talks on the Iranian nuclear issue. The Iranian delegation was led by Araghchi, and the US delegation was led by special envoy Steve Witkoff.
