Pakistan's Minister for Interior Rana Sanaullah has indicated that the government is open to renegotiate with the banned militant group Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) if the group agrees to respect the state's authority.The minister's comments come just a day after he stated that the government would not hold talks with the TTP or any other militant group.The TTP recently ended a ceasefire with the government and launched multiple attacks, including the first attack in a decade in Islamabad, killing several people.The group has also declared formation of its own government and various ministries in northwestern Pakistan, which has seen a surge in attacks in the last three months.The government previously held peace talks with the TTP in Afghanistan, with the Afghan Taliban** serving as mediators, but the negotiations were ultimately unsuccessful.In response to the increase in terror incidents, the National Security Committee (NSC) has adopted a "zero-tolerance" policy against terrorism and decided that no country will be allowed to provide sanctuaries or support to terrorists.According to the federal Interior Minister, during the previous year, most attacks occurred in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province (67 percent), with 31 percent occurring in Balochistan.The US State Department released a statement of support on Thursday, in which President Joe Biden pledged to take unilateral action, similar to the action taken against Ayman al-Zawahiri, against potential threats from Afghanistan that may pose a danger to the US and its allies.*Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) is a terrorist group banned in Russia.**Taliban is under UN sanctions over terrorism

"If the TTP decides to come under the ambit of the Constitution, we can hold talks with them," Sanaullah told journalists during a press conference in Islamabad,
